Veteran Owned Company: A Legacy of Service and Leadership
At the heart of our Veteran Owned Company is a commitment to excellence and, a deep respect for the values forged through military service. Jim, one of our founders, embodies this dedication, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to everything we do. His journey through the United States Army has shaped the foundation of our company, instilling in him the discipline, resilience, and strategic insight that continue to drive our success today.
Jim’s story begins with his enlistment in the U.S. Army. Drafted as a Private, he quickly demonstrated exceptional potential and a strong sense of duty. Within less than a year, he attended Officer Candidate School (OCS), where his leadership abilities stood out. His hard work and determination earned him a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant, marking the beginning of a distinguished military career. This rapid ascent from Private to Officer is a testament to Jim’s dedication and ability to lead under pressure—qualities that remain at the core of our Veteran Owned Company.
Eager to further his military education, Jim then entered helicopter flight school, where he excelled. His performance was so outstanding that he graduated with honors, an achievement that further reinforced his growing reputation as a highly capable and driven leader. His exceptional skill and dedication to his role led to a swift promotion to Captain—less than three years after his initial induction into the Army. This remarkable rise through the ranks is a testament to Jim’s unwavering commitment to excellence and his ability to meet challenges head-on.
Jim’s career took him to Vietnam, where he served a tour as a helicopter pilot. Flying in one of the most challenging and high-risk environments, Jim honed his technical skills and leadership abilities in ways that few others could. His time in Vietnam not only strengthened his resolve but also deepened his sense of purpose and responsibility. As a helicopter pilot, Jim contributed directly to critical missions and played an integral role in the success of his unit.
After returning from Vietnam, Jim’s leadership skills were further recognized when he was assigned as a Company Commander. In this role, he oversaw operations and personnel, ensuring that every mission was executed with precision and professionalism. His leadership extended beyond the field as well, as he was also appointed as a Staff Officer in the Commanding General’s Aviation Office. In these positions, Jim was responsible for strategic planning and coordination, tasks that required an ability to think critically and manage complex operations. His leadership was key to the success of his unit, and his impact was felt by all those who served under him.
Jim’s military career did not end with his active duty service. He transitioned into the Army Reserves, where he continued to serve with distinction. His years of experience were recognized with a promotion to Major, a testament to his ongoing commitment and leadership. Over the course of his military service, Jim earned numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Bronze Star and Air Medal. He was also awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal, honors that reflect his dedication and sacrifice in service to his country.
In addition to his operational expertise, Jim also pursued specialized training in aerial photography as an Officer in the Army Corps of Engineers. This training allowed him to develop a unique skill set, combining technical knowledge with the precision and attention to detail required for military operations. This expertise later became valuable not only in his military career but also in his post-service endeavors, including his work with our Veteran Owned Company.
Today, Jim’s military experience and leadership continue to guide our company’s mission and values. As a Veteran Owned Company, we are proud to carry forward the principles of integrity, teamwork, and excellence that Jim exemplified throughout his service. His journey—from Private to Major, from helicopter pilot to Company Commander—continues to inspire everything we do, and his legacy of service remains at the heart of our work.
In honoring Jim’s military background, we are reminded of the sacrifices made by all those who serve, and we strive to honor that service every day through our commitment to quality and excellence. As a Veteran Owned Company, we are proud to carry forward the lessons learned from a lifetime of service, ensuring that these values are reflected in everything we do.
